John Dickson is a well credentialled historian who has written a number of books on Jesus and history. This one summarises what historians believe we can know about Jesus in a glossy, colour book complete with photographs. It explains the life and teachings of Jesus in terms that may be surprising to some but are always enlightening. As usual, Dickson is a fair-minded and trustworthy guide who makes his christian faith clear without allowing it to bias the historical assessment too much. Highly recommended.
