Video Details

When his high powered brother is brutally murdered, Murray Wilson (Dolph Lundgren), a former boxer and San Francisco cop, launches his own investigation. Rejecting the police theory that the murder is the work of a female prostitute, Wilson infiltrates the powerful underground world of political intrigue and illicit affairs. What he discovers is a twisted realm of sexual bondage and dark violence. And when a series of other men turn up bound and murdered, Wilson's obsession with finding the killer mounts. As he sinks deeper into a web of corruption and deceit, his own lines between right and wrong become blurred and he begins to lose all objectivity.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good Film, Jun 27 2004
By
Tango Cash (Dothan, Alabama) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Jill the Ripper (DVD)
While some are trashing this movie cuase its not your typical Dolph film, I'd tell you to rent it anyways--or buy it--like I did. Its not an action flick, so dont think you'll see Dolph with big guns. Its a mystery, so sit back and enjoy. The killer is pretty much known from the get-go, but its still a good film, and Dolph is getting so much better as an actor. Rent Masters of the Universe and then watch Jill The Ripper. You'll see an amazing difference. Kudos to Hickox and Dolph for a job well done.

1.0 out of 5 stars DOLPH LUNDGREN'S WORST MOVIE EVER!, Jun 14 2004
This review is from: Jill the Ripper (DVD)
DOLPH LUNDGREN SINKS TO AN ALL-NEW LOW IN THIS MOVIE. THIS TIME, DOLPH PLAYS A FORMER COP WHO RETURNS TO HIS OLD TOWN IN THE 70S TO INVESTIGATE THE MURDER OF HIS BROTHER. DOLPH GIVES WHAT HAS GOT TO BE THE MOST WOODEN PERFORMANCE OF HIS CAREER IN THIS ONE. ACTIONLESS PLOT REALLY KILLS THIS ONE. EVEN THE BIGGEST DOLPH LUNDGREN FAN WILL HATE THIS MOVIE. NOT EVEN WORTH A RENTAL. SAVE YOUR MONEY INSTEAD.

1.0 out of 5 stars It's as stupid as it sounds, May 7 2002
This review is from: Jill the Ripper (DVD)
This is one of those direct to video movies that you will pass over, and with good cause. This mess of a film is so stupid, sexually tame, kinky extreme, and plot pointless that it's a miracle it was even made. I'm sure the book it was based off of was ok but other than that you really must question why bother.

Dolph Lundergen plays a guy who returns to his home town because his wealthy brother has been murdered. His wife seems upset and the mother is devasted. the movie takes place in the 1970's so they try to have this old movie feel to it. Try again pal. This movie could of easily of have taken place in 1999 and you would have never known. Any ways Dolph wants to find the killer. So he tracks down some of his brother movements and after viewing this video of his bro in a kinky sex act he goes into the under ground sexual organization. Eventually he finds the killer but you will probably be asleep by then.

Don't waste your time.
