Can't be beaten for the price

For a fraction of the price of the bowflex weights, you can get these 25 pound dumbbells. The weight selection system works fine, and the weights feel sturdy. The stand is perfectly adequate, and these serve my needs precisely. I wish they had just a little more weight, but for my wife (ChaLean extreme) and p90x, these are great because you can switch the weight easily and quickly. I've just had these for a week or so, but they feel quite durable, and I suspect that I'll be able to use these for a long time. Definitely a step up from the adjustable collared weights that require a lot of futzing to change weight. Those are fine until you are trying to keep up with Tony Horton or Chalene Johnson. Anyway, my wife and I both like these.

We just bought our second dumbbell. Very satisfied with the pair. My wife loves them for Chalene extreme.

After a couple of weeks, my wife, who has never weight lifted before, really likes the convenience of these weights. She uses them for ChaLean Extreme; Chalene doesn't give you much time to swap from weight to weight, and the ease with which these can be used has really pushed her to use weights more and more. I can say that she is seeing big gains on her ability to handle weight! She is slimming down and tightening up, and these are great. I'm pleased, she's pleased, we'll probably order two more of these so that we aren't fighting over them when we work out together!

Not as good as I had hoped

I just received these yesterday, so I'm still getting used to them. Changing weights is more difficult than I anticipated, it's not always easy to line up the weights and slide the grip all the way down to lock them in. It can take some time to really line everything up on both sides and you may have to fight/shake them to get the grip through to the middle. Once the weights are locked in it's pretty good though. You can see from the picture that there are screw heads on the inside near where you grip. I ripped the skin on my knuckles pretty bad half way through a workout routine on the head of the screw. You need to be really careful where your hands are. I'll try to put some sort of tape over them to prevent future injury. I really expected more from these. Those screws really should be covered.

We bought 2. For the price these are great. Easy to change the amount of weight. Does clank around some, but so do the others we tried. So far so good.
