Having been disappointed at not making it in person to see Elton John Live in Vegas, this blu-ray offers any fan, the next best thing. I have many of his concert dvds, but this is the best. What a show! The stage design is colourful and creative, and utilizes a mammoth backdrop to display the variety of video interpretations - some familiar (Justine Timberlake portraying an earlier Elton in Rocket Man), and some new, (an odd dance interpretation that isn't worthy of Don't Let the Sun Go Down), by director David LaChapelle. The sound is great, and Elton plays the show with intimate ease. Though the performer may have personally toned-down his pageantry from years ago, Elton John is perfectly suited for this well-produced Vegas show.

Outstanding performance and sound but I'm sorry I bought it. The video editor should have been dragged outside, beaten and then shot. The average length of a shot is .8 seconds which makes watching this concert not just annoying but almost intolerable. If you are a fan of Davey Johntone on guitar or Nigel Olsen on drums then forget it. You may catch a glimpse of them occasionally for lierally .5 seconds. If Johnstone is doing a great lead part the video will show the side of Elton's piano. The video editor didn't just have ADD, he's an utter moron and the producer allowed it.

I already had a four DVD set from one of Elton's world tours, but this is incredible. Absolutely fantastic in Blu-Ray.
