I bought 2 of these and they work great. I can now cut down on the amount of ingredients I put into my omelettes so I have more control over how much I am eating and using.
The only this is they don't weigh enough to stop the egg from seeping underneath when I first pour the egg into the shaper, but I love that is makes perfect sandwiches and is easy to clean.

As far as novelty items go..this one is ok. It's easy to use but I find that it really doesn't shape the egg into a "piece of toast"..it leaves it looking just like a square..though that does work as it fits quite well on your piece of toast. It's safe to use, doesn't get hot to the touch and easy to clean.
