About the Author
Janet and Allan Ahlberg created some of the world's most popular picture books, including EACH PEACH PEAR PLUM and THE JOLLY CHRISTMAS POSTMAN, both Greenaway Medal winners, and THE BABY'S CATALOGUE inspired by their daughter Jessica. Janet died in 1994 and Allan, a former teacher, now lives in London.

Many years ago, my sister loved these books, so a few years back they were purchased for her. Recently I've purchased these books for my kids & they love them. The part they like the most about this particular one, is that there's a magnifying glass.

My 12 year old niece and I are reading this book together. It is a great book for anyone. There is a lot of neat little tools tucked inside the pages. There is a surprise at every turn of the page. Highly recommend this to anyone.

The Jolly Pocket Postman was a good book. It is a 7 rating. My favorite part was when the Postman drank the tea and he shrunk. I also liked how the book comes with a magnifying glass in the pocket so you can see things very little.K.N.

It's an amazing book full of fairy tale characters and charming coloured pictures with lots of tiny details which you can explore for hours! Children will love to take REAL postcards and letters out of their real envelopes which you will find almost on each page! The auther's originality, sence of humour and wit make grownups admire the book as well as children. I really loved it and recommend it to anyone who has sence of humor, who likes rhimes and tiny pictures - in that case you'll read this book over and over again!
