Product Description

Review

“Particularly effective is the scene where Jonathan bribes the caricature of a Victorian clerk ... the pictures carry the story very well.”—School Library Journal

This book is a mini book which is not stated, it is about 4 inches by 4 inches and is not full size. However, the size of the book does make it ideal for traveling; in our house, it is used as a "potty story" and is read while toilet training because it can fit into the medicine cabinet in our bathroom. Although still a decent buy, it would have been nice to have it clearly state that it is not a full sized book.

Silly and fun. Every child will love the story about poor Jonathan who couldn't clean his room thanks to the crowds of people leaving the subway station that was magically connected to it. The illustrations are wonderfully rendered.

I wish I read the dimensions better. I didn't realize these were tiny palm sized books. Still tells the story and could be handy in diaper bag and travel.

Cute book that will last a long time. Funny story about a subway station in a boy's apartment and negotiating moving the stop with a jar of jam. We have shortened the book for our 2 year old but as she gets older I'm sure she will love this book even more.

I was very disappointed to realize this was a mini book when I received it - it was nowhere indicated in the description as it was in one of the other books.
Otherwise, I know my son will enjoy reading it.

My kids loved their mini books by Munsch and so does my grand-daughter. The description does state the book's size; I don't understand how some missed that.

I love this book and always have, but beware! It's mini. Unfortunately, I returned mine and ordered it in the larger size for $6.60.
