I know! It gives you the measurements, and you can get an idea of the size of it from the "peas picture" given above. I still somehow pictured it being larger! =P I love the handle, and the bottom "feet". It's great for chopping veggies on the counter and using this to rinse them. This is great for a small family, or a small task. Also if you're controlling portion sizes for the family this would be large enough. For example pasta night for 4. I would certainly recommend this to anyone; It's durable, the quality is amazing and all for a great price.

What can a colander do? This one sits flat, and does not tip. It has a comfortable handle. The sturdy plastic does not conduct heat from boiling water and product. The size is convenient, and the holes drain well. It is also a cheerful touch on the counter or in the cabinet.

I loved the look of this colander when i saw it in the store and told myself I did not need it but could not resist when it went on sale at amazon. I like to cook whole boxes of pasta at once and store leftovers in the fridge and this will drain a typical sized box of pasta. It could not be easier to pour leftovers into a storage container too. It is very stable sitting in the sink and I can pour from the pot without holding it but the handle makes it so easy to hold over the sink too. It is raised enough that it does not feel like your food is touching the sink. It is easy to clean (I have never had anything stuck in the holes like the metal mesh type). Small for storage too. Great colander!

I have two of these, one I bought on vacation and the other from Amazon. Fits nice in the cupboard and is very stable in the sink. Fits two packs of Kraft Dinner and that is all I care about! Easy to clean and love the green apple colour. Makes my kitchen look modern....
