Book Description

Jan. 20 2012 Hart's Halo
JOURNEY TO HART'S HALO is a near-future fantasy adventure, set in 2033 on the world's first international space colony. Constructed as a puzzle mystery, Journey to Hart's Halo is the story of Davey Randolph, a twelve year old space-crazy boy. Along with his reluctant single mom, Davey wins a global lottery to spend five years aboard the world's first orbiting space colony. With the help of an international cast of clever and quirky pre-teens, he must conquer his feelings of being an outsider and solve the puzzle mysteries that will lead to a shocking discovery about the true fate of his missing father. A modern myth of epic scale, the HART'S HALO series of books will have kids (of all ages) dreaming of winning their own place on the Hart's Halo space station. This review is from: Journey to Hart's Halo : V1.0 Einstein's Enigma (Kindle Edition)
Harts Halo is a thoroughly entertaining Sci-Fi book for young and old alike. The reader can actively participate in solving puzzles which is really fun. I loved the quotes which were at the beginning of each chapter and also all the futuristic technologies such as Identascan and micro machine powered electric skates. I am so excited to see what Lou Hood will come up with next!

5.0 out of 5 stars Engaging and imaginative June 2 2012
By JenX
Format:Paperback
I bought this book for my tween daughter because of positive feedback I had received from parents and kids about this author's childrens book, which I had given as birthday gifts, and I was curious to see how this book for an older audience would be. I ended up reading Hart's Halo before I even gave it to my daughter, and just loved it! It ended up being passed around our entire household, and it was enjoyed by everyone (one really liked the setting and the storyline, another the scientific theories and ideas). I sent a copy to my nephews, who live in another city, and we have now infected their family and friends with this book - I also like that there will be (hopefully) at least one more book coming up. Look forward to that!

Journey to Hart's Halo

These days it's not very often that I pick up a science fiction book but having experienced Journey to Hart's Halo, I am once again reminded of how delightful it is to dive into another world and lose myself in the wonder of it, with the voices, the visions, the drama! Looking forward to V2.0.

5.0 out of 5 stars Looks like a movie Oct. 8 2012

Just finished reading Hart's Halo. It would make a great movie or TV series. Loved the science history lesson in chapter 20,Einstein's Enigma, the big ToE and the riddles. The speed at which technology is evolving, I can see this happening in the given time frame. Pick it up. Read it. You will love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Read - couldn't put it down June 3 2012
By autumn sky - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I got this book for my pre-teens to read but couldn't put it down. To label it sci-fi/fantasy is to limit it in a way it doesn't deserve. The story is much bigger than that and the main characters are very real and relatable. It's a great mystery adventure. It was the kind of book you are sad to come to the end of. I can hardly wait for the next one to come out!

5.0 out of 5 stars Clever adventure story June 2 2012
By Scampi - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Journey to Hart's Halo is a page-turner. I thought I would just flip though and see if my nephew might like it, but found myself nestling in for a good read. The action romps along, guided by thoughts from Ralph Waldo Emerson, Woody Allen, and Bono, among others, and fueled by our hero, Davey Randolph's, clever solutions to the puzzles he must solve as he negotiates his way through not only time and space, but a variety of human relationships and emotions. It's a fun read, AND, makes you think. I liked it a lot!
