Book Description

July 2009
The stories in Journeys: Stories Our Bodies Can Tell reflect all that Nemec fans have come to expect of this master storyteller. Some stories are familiar, including Nemec’s unique approach to the light touch hands-on healing art of craniosacral therapy, others are new. Here we depart his work in the ocean with clients and with dolphins to find that this can be performed anywhere. In Journeys, experience the smile of an infant who recovers from seizures that have been deemed unsolvable by doctors, and her mother’s relief. Share the moment with a man who has suffered from Restless Leg Syndrome for years as he breaks the syndrome and realizes that everything is all right. Explore the science and biomechanics of how a Border Terrier could recover from a dysplasia and regain the ability to walk within minutes. Meet, “Our Lady of Guadalupe” who appears as a protector in one session, and later, travel to ancient Lemuria with a mother determined to recover the soul of her lost child. Nemec’s command of each detail of the craniosacral therapy sessions are bound to entertain, surprise, and make readers – even those who haven’t experienced craniosacral therapy — feel that anything is truly possible. "Simple and magically beautiful. Miraculous!" -- Blythe Stratton Journey beyond traditional medicine with this volume of case histories by James Nemec, author of, "Touch the Ocean.” These are stories that our bodies tell, uncovered through the work of craniosacral therapy. Non-surgical, non-intrusive, the light touch, hands-on therapy is safe for newborns and the elderly and is often considered a "last hope" by many for a healthy life. Nemec invites his readers to experience and receive the ancient wisdom that arises from their own bodies, through this therapy, to open the doors to a renewal of health and well-being. Our bodies tell stories, whether we are aware of it or not. -- Jo Carey, Bodhi Tree Bookstore Light touch therapies go beyond reach of traditional medicine. Join us in the adventure and discover!

"Journeys" is a spellbinding tale of healing and transformation that not only captivates the soul , but each story serves as a subtle and profound teaching in the field of craniosacral therapy, offering insight into a quantum field of alternative treatment that resonates to the core. A must read for anyone who considers themselves healers and /or simply anyone who wants to maintain a balance of harmony and well being in their lives. A true masterpiece

5.0 out of 5 stars A Healing in Itself Oct. 26 2009

This was my first introduction to James Nemec's work as a healer. The stories are definitely eye-openers to the greater stories we carry within us and that can, unknown to us, influence our daily lives. The writing is beautiful in that you are allowed to sink into the various experiences and are yourself taken on a journey of healing. I recommend this book and his second book "Touch the Ocean." I will read anything that Nemec writes. Looking forward to more.

Did you every just sit down with a friend or stranger and simply listen to the life stories about others without hearing judgments, agendas, ego drama but rather just a curiosity and respect for the persons story. This is how I felt while reading these stories. Even though they were about other people my own life resonated and I saw myself with a new respect, curiosity, awe, and wonderment for my bodies story. I realize that I had become very small in my own world and now with renewed excitement I can begin to see an ocean of possibilities. As I review my stories I find that I can more easily accept myself for who I am and can start having fun conversing with my resistances. I am feeling a new respect and curiosity for my bodies stories and it is with "loving abundance" that I thank you Mr. Nemec for sharing your story in Touch the Ocean and the stories of others in Journeys. I look forward to reading Awake and Asleep: stories Our Bodies Can Tell once it is published. Thank you also for gently guiding me and many many others showing us how we can learn from the stories our bodies can tell.
