What's here is good,
By A Customer
This review is from: Joy to the World: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
This collection is getting a bad rap. It is a good, but incomplete collection. It is a re-issue of the vinyl lp from 1976, so it only includes 14 songs. 13 of which were big hits, the only miss being "I Be So Happy" from the Hard Labor album. But I would recommend you pass on this and buy "Complete Hit Singles" which includes all 21 top 40 hits on a single CD.

Suffers on CD,
By R. Riis "rriis" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Joy to the World: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
This was an excellent LP, but suffers aurally inexplicably on CD. Go for the 20-track "Very Best of" for single-disc buyers or the much-recommended mondo "Celebrate" set for committed fans. Leave this one in the land of fond memories.

Not as good as it could be,
By GTTF - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Joy to the World: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
This album includes most of the hits, however it does not have the original version of "Joy to the World" with the extra excerpt towards the end saying "JOY TO THE WORLD, (pause) JOY TO YOU AND ME" and it also does not have songs like "Eli's Coming" on it. It is pretty good, but there are better Three Dog Night albums to get.

Questionable Edits, Appalling Sound,
By "chaslam58" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Joy to the World: Greatest Hits (Audio CD)
Muted bass, analog hiss, and the questionable editing of "Liar" and "Old Fashioned Love Song" prove that somebody dropped the ball somewhere. While this collection does include all the Top 40 "hits", avoid this disc like the plague. Turn instead to the "Celebrate" compilation (MCA), with its remastered originals.
