Amazingly funny, July 30 2010

This is an illustrated short story that is amazingly funny. Judge Sn is a character from Scalzi's book "Androids Dream," which is a pretty funny book in itself. I think any golfer with a sense of humor might appreciate it as well as any of Scalzi's fans, or Gahan Wilson's, who is the illustrator. It is, however, a paperback gift sort of book, limited edition, and only 32 pages long, sort of an illustrated anecdote. Unless this is the sort of thing you appreciate, which I do, the price is probably too high and you should try to find it at the library.

For those of us who loved The Andriods Dream it is wonderful to find another piece of fiction written in the same universe. This is a very funny short story and I might rate it higher if it was longer. An enjoyable journey for those who love Scalzi!

Judge Sn is a minor character in The Android's Dream. And this book is really a short story that is very nicely presented about a very bad day on the golf course for the Judge. It's a funny little book that is enjoyable and quick to read, but it doesn't really have much content. Thankfully it's not expensive but it's really the sort of thing that should be included as part of another book as a coda rather than as this rather thin, but nevertheless pretty and signed paperback.
