There is a lot more to fasting than just not eating. This book gives me the ideas and means to do an effective fast, and for that I am very grateful.
Now, I get my fasting and detox advice from Dr. Elson Haas' books - Staying Health With Nutrition, The Detox Diet.
I also enjoyed the fact that unlike other health related books the author didn't get weighed down with all sorts of intricate drawings and charts, and presented things in a cut & dry, straight forward manner.
