I can't believe people actually think it's reasonable to pay $46.95 for 25 cleaning tablets! You can buy a jar of 200 Urnex Cafiza Espresso Machine Cleaning Tablets for $20.75; they will work just as well as the vastly overpriced Jura Capresso tablets. Save your money and don't buy this product.

Capress Cleaning Tablets, Nov 28 2007

This review is from: Jura-Capresso Cleaning Tablets for All Capresso and Jura-Capresson Coffee Machines, Pack of 25 (Kitchen)
My home has hard water and the need to keep appliances clean that circulate water has been a challenge especially with my beloved coffee machine. I have been using dargol for some time now in keeping my Capresso coffee maker clean but finding Dargol has been a challenge as the only brick & mortar store front that actually had it in my area was Crate and Barrel and it wasn't on their shelves.
The cleaning tablets in comparison to the dargol appears to perform a more thorough job as I found that the tablets (once fully dissolved) lifted a lot more debris and particles from the coffee maker.
The only issues which I had with the product was the lack of instructions, which despite the simplicity of dropping in the water basin, I wasn't sure whether the cleaning process should begin before or after the tablet had dissolved in the water or how much water should be used for that matter. Common sense took over and I decided to wait which was a good thing but all the same it would have been comforting to have a little guidance on the matter.
The other issue albeit minor was with the on-line merchant which I purchased it from charged $10 for shipping and the packaging for this tiny product was excessive to say the least.
Overall I have a product now that even if used on a monthly basis will last for over two years which despite the cost when weighed across that time frame makes it a wise and very useful investment for those who truly prize their coffee makers.
