Steven Spielberg's 1993 mega-hit rivals Jaws as the most intense and frightening film he'd ever made prior to Schindler's List, but it was also among his weakest stories. Based on Michael Crichton's novel about an island amusement park populated by cloned dinosaurs, the film works best as a thrill ride with none of the interesting human dynamics of Spielberg's Jaws. That lapse proves unfortunate, but there's no shortage of raw terror as a rampaging T-rex and nasty raptors try to make fast food out of the cast. The effects are still astonishing (despite the fact that the computer-generated technology has since been improved upon) and at times primeval, such as the sight of a herd of whatever-they-are scampering through a valley. --Tom Keogh

I saw Jurassic Park when it came out in the movie theaters and I liked it though I didn't think it was as scary as eveyone was saying but it was entertaining and had a great cast that includes Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Richard Attenborough. The movie is about a wealthy businessman who creates an island theme park with dinosaurs after some scientists clone dinosaur DNA so he invites some guests that he thinks will be interested in his theme park. The guests are a paleontologist played by Sam Neill and his botonist girlfriend played by Laura Dern and a quirky scientist played by Jeff Goldblum but after showing them around the island an accident happens that makes all the cages open and the dinosaurs are on the loose and a threat to everyone including the businessman's two grandchildren who are visting him. A good movie and recommended to people who like sci-fi/fantasy movies that have tons of action and adventure!

It was just too amazing! This movie might have had it's flaws, but still is a great worth-it purchase! You just gotta love JP! JP rocks!

However, you shouldn't watch a great movie without knowing the flaws. So, I suggest you buy it, watch it, and then study about the dinosaurs featured on the set... and trust me, you WILL find that many of the dinosaurs on the film were over-estimated.
