5.0 out of 5 stars So you wanta be in the Rap game? July 17 2010

This film show you the struggle on both sides of what it takes to make it and what it takes to stay in the rap game. It pulls the curtain away from the facade of fame and shows you what it's really like. Great music with great acting and some rough locales make this a must see for the Hip Hop fan. The film sucks you in with a great story of Young Eastie trying to meet up with older rapper Amaze who has his own set of problems. Great quality video and good audio make this way above the average Hip Hop film. Best film since Paid in Full. Doesn't get any more real than this.

A nice flick with some The WIRE cast. Jamie Hector as usual is convincing as a young aspiring rapper. The ever talented Wood Harris always brings in a solid, smooth performance that goes down like a smooth cognac. So much so, that other than Jamie Hector, many of the other actors fade into the background. Enjoyable flick.
