I have DDR 3 and Just Dance. And not just for kids either. I find with DDR I'm not really dancing but jumping around trying to keep up with the arrows. Yeah, I work up a sweat but it's not really fun. Just Dance has a good variety of music and is a little easier to do with my 37 year old bones, plus it has lyrics and is just more (laugh out loud) fun even if you don't get the hang of it.

This is so much fun! Our kids range in age from 4 to 14 and we all have a blast playing this! Also love the range in songs from the 50's era to current hits (go figure, my 4 year-old loves doing the 'mashed potato'!). Highly recommend this for huge entertainment value for the whole family!!

I got this on the weekend and have played twice. My scores aren't great (not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if the controls are touchy ; I did improve marginally the 2nd time so maybe it just takes practice) but it doesn't even matter! The tracks are great and the moves are fun. I was totally exhausted after like 30 mins, and the way I was going at it, suffice to say I'd better close the curtains - I NEVER want ANYONE other than my 4 year old to see me play this game!!!

I generally hate video games and very reluctantly gave in to my husband's pleas to purchase a Wii for our four kids last Christmas. I've never played a single game in the year we've had the Wii - until now! This game is so much fun! The music drew me into the living room and before I knew it I was dancing along (and beating my kids' scores;) and having a blast. I really worked up a sweat too! Great combination of fun and exercise. I highly recommend this game for kids and adults alike!

I purchased this game last year as a Easter/Birthday/Mother's day gift for myself because it looked like fun. I was right. I immediately loved it, got a workout with it and invited friends and family to join me in looking silly dancing with my TV.

The good:
There's no controls to learn, no non-intuitive button presses or arrows to follow, no twitch buttons on a pad to try to remember and slip off of when you're mid song. You just hold the remote in one hand, and follow the character on the screen as if you're dancing in front of a mirror. It actually has half decent dance moves that are at least similar to the ones that some of us remember wishing we could do when that song was in its heyday, so if you got good, you could cut yourself a rug doing the same moves on the dance floor at your next wedding or stag and doe, if you're not too embarrassed. If you're planning to get this as a party game, there's a fairly wide variety of music to appeal to a large audience, and since it's so intuitive to play, young children and their great grandparents and everyone in between should be able to play with at least some success.

The not as stellar:
Just Dance was the first game of it's kind, Just dance kids, dance on broadway, Micheal Jackson: The Experience, and of course Just Dance 2 were all built on it's shoulders. Since this game has come out the technology has been tweaked and perfected further, so the scoring in this game is in comparison quite finicky, and not always as accurate as it is in later games. Not an issue for those just doing it for kicks, but those who would care about the score may find this frustrating.

I received Just Dance as part of a BzzAgent campaign. I probably wouldn't have considered bying it otherwise, but I'm really glad that I gave it a try. The game's graphics are pretty basic but that doesn't really matter all that much when you factor in the game's biggest asset, the fact that it's really fun to play. The music selection is varied and should appeal to lots of different age groups. The game is also pretty easy to get the hang of. Even if you can't manage to do all of the moves and get a high score, you're guaranteed to have fun trying. As I was playing I found that I didn't really care what my score was since I was having fun just moving around. That's the other great thing about this game. It's a good way to work up a sweat and burn some calories without even realizing that you're exercising. All in all I'm pretty impressed and would definitely recommend the game to anyone who just wants to dance around and have some fun.

Recently I've signed up with the BzzAgent.com and within a few weeks signed up for my first campaign. They mailed me a free copy of Just Dance and Your Shape Wii games by Ubisoft.
I am not a dancer... at all! But I am always looking for ways to exercise, so i thought why not, it's free. I put it into my Wii the next day. It was very easy to operate. At first i wanted to see what songs and moves are on the game, so i did a lot of short dances in a row. I was very ackward at first, but had fun. The more I did, the better i got. My 4 year old came in and thought it was a fun game, so he did a few dances. I definately developed some sweat while dancing and felt good to be able to move around.
I do wish is that they had more recent dance songs on there.

Next step it to get my husband and my older son to do this. I can imagine the laughter that will come out of it :)
