Great film, very poor Blu-ray release,

This review is from: Just Friends [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
This was a disappointing Blu-ray release of one of my favorite recent Holiday films. There are no bonus materials, no subtitles - not even a menu! Only the theatrical version of the film is included, not the extended version available on the DVD. The only option given is a pop-up menu to select audio track. The picture quality is a slight upgrade from the DVD, but I would wait for a proper U.S. release.

This is not hi-def quality. It's lo-def recorded onto a blu-ray disc. All the cost, none of the detail. Doesn't even have the extras that are on the dvd. For the record, I loved this movie and was very anxious to get it in hi-def, but this was a complete rip-off. Don't waste your money. Just get the dvd.

Just Friends (Simplement Anis?) Blu-Ray,

I've seen this movie many many many times before, I actually own the DVD. And I am a huge Anna Faris fan and I own pretty every single movie she's been in, I'm missing about two or three. But yeah, I purchased this blu-ray and it was from Canada. It has french writing on it and the cover is double side so you have an english side and a french side. The Blu-Ray looks good and good audio, the movie is funny and I enjoyed it a lot more than I remember. The blu-ray is really simple put in the disc and shows a little thing saying "Your Movie is about to start - use pop menu" ect, then it goes straight to the movie. When you press "POP UP MENU", it only has the option to change the audio - No subtitles either. There's no special features at all. When the movie ends, it plays the movie again. If you want to buy this movie, I'll say stick to the standard DVD, it has special features, ect on the DVD and it's cheaper. But Just Friends on Blu-Ray was a great addition to my Anna Faris movie collection (which is now a total of 30 Blu-Rays/DVDs).
