4.0 out of 5 stars Shows teens they are not alone! Aug. 31 2011
By Cherise Kachelmuss - Published on
There are so many Chicken Soup books out there, but this one is great because it is just for teenagers. The book is full of 101 short stories (all about 2-3 pages) all from real teenagers. They are stories categorized as: Friendship, Life Lessons, Liking Yourself, Love and Relationships, Family Times, Tough Times, Taking a Stand, Giving and Getting Kindness, Funny Moments, and Setting and Reaching Your Goals. I enjoyed reading the stories and reminiscing about my own teenage years, both the happy and sad times. I think it would be a great book for any teenager, especially as a great break from school work or just to see that they are not alone in their own teenage drama.

5.0 out of 5 stars Granddaughters love it ! Sept. 14 2011
By Bonnie L. - Published on
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I have two teenaged granddaughters who were thrilled with this newest Chicken Soup for teens. One of them carries it wherever she goes so she can read another story when she has a few minutes. And then she tells me all about the chapters that interest her or have a confusing message that she wants to talk to me about. I enjoy the stories as much as she does!

3.0 out of 5 stars Quite good March 6 2013

I loved the inspirational quotes however the stories mostly had the same theme. For the stories that were unique, they were spectacularly written and were captivating. Overall a good read but just not for me.

1.0 out of 5 stars One good thing to say....and a couple of bad Nov. 2 2012
By L. Faller - Published on
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
So, the good news first. When I found out this was not the book for me I asked to return it for credit and not only did they give me a credit they let me keep it. So I donated it to a Library.
The bad news, well this is only bad news for those that have morals for what they feel is right. The first story I read, kid you not, was about how a teenager was confused about if they liked girls, being a girl themselves. IT talked about how her parents did support it but the church did. So......morally it was not something I wanted to give to a child that was struggling in this particular area as well as other areas of concern. I will be sure to stick with the christian verisions of Chicken soup for the soul.
