Kakifly does it again with a third volume of the hit 4-panel manga that's just recently making its way to the States. The Pop Music Club continues their obligatory antics, including working at a maid cafe, trying to decide their plans for after high school, a class field trip, and even an outdoor music festival! Additionally, Jun is introduced as a friend of Azusa and Ui, and gradually gets her own share of the spotlight.
Fans of the anime will appreciate subtle differences in the manga, like the outcome of trying to lie to Sawako-sensei about how much they pawned her guitar for. I feel that I need to mention that there is some very mild swearing in one portion of the manga (the girls try to mimic the local dialect, which the translator changes to sound like New York street slang) but it's mainly played for laughs. Finally, the full-color sections look amazing as always.
In summary, great manga, I plan on buying the next one the day it comes out!
