Well, throughout the delivery time I was afraid that I'm gonna have problems with getting the PC delivered on time or at all, specially after I read what people were writing in the reviews about SmartPost.
Luckily my PC got here and let me tell You, I could not be more satisfied with it.
I saw one negative review below mine, but I don't seem to have any problems with my Asus,as a mater of fact I'm very suprised how sleek and elegant it is - just beautiful :)
I love the hardware in it and how everything runs at amazing speed, older games and programs have get a new flair.
Edit: I just started playing Battlefield 3. To all those saying laptops aren't for gaming, I say - eat this..... this laptop plays most new games on High detail. Before mentioned Battlefield 3 runs great!!! I rarely get less than 30FPS in MP on combination of High/Medium with 30-60 ppl playing, 75% of the time FPS is high 30s to high 40s, when flying it goes to 50-60.
This is a great laptop and exceeds my biggest expectations when tackling games or few other CPU/GPU hungry programs opened at once. The GT540M is a mid-range GPU, but can really handle more than most people expect. Playing NFS:Shift or World, GTA4 on highest with GPU hungry mods gives 35-70 for NFSs, 30-40 for GTA4 and the GPU never gets hotter than 82*C which is great if You want overclock it. I suggest swapping the cheap Hynix 2GB RAM chip and getting the Kingston Valu-RAM 4GB 1333MHz chip instead though.
The only thing I don't like about it is that DVD does not record and I can't make Win7 images on DVDs - I have the same problem with my Toshiba laptop - also, it comes without a recovery DVD, so in case the OS requires re-install I'll have to shell out additional money, but considering I paid $698 for a PC worth $850 - $950, I guess I'm still on the track.
SOLVED: I just got a $40 Flash drive and don't have to worry about the system, so scratch that........
Great product, buy, buy, buy, before the price goes up!
