Pretty Good,
This review is from: MOFI Kangaroo Pouch for Samsung Galaxy S II/ S2, BLACK (Wireless Phone Accessory)
The pouch feels nice, and fits the phone perfectly. the interior doesn't exactly clean the screen by siding it out/in, but you can use a soft rub with the exterior. When the phone is in the pouch there is a good amount of thickness added, as the phone alone feels fragile thin, however in this pouch the phone doesn't fit quite right in my jeans as the cloth will add some resistance in sliding in/out of your pocket, but is fine in a coat pocket. The secondary pocket is great for cards, transit passes, and earbuds as shown in the package. Even with the earbuds in the pouch the thickness feels fine (but not quite jean pocket usable). Even though the phone fits snugly into the pouch, there are two loops to 'close' it so your phone stays in place (even though I don't see my phone slipping out of this pouch anytime soon). There is no access to the charging port while in the pouch unless you put the phone in upside down and with the loop open, but I don't mind having it out of the pouch when charging. Lint attraction seems minimal, but if it really bothers you a lint roller/brush will make it look good as new.In terms of phone protection, it's no shock absorber (or anywhere close). This was not designed to be a drop protective case, but merely something to hold your phone between calls. Don't plan on using this to ensure your phone will survive a drop to hard ground, not to mention you're going to be taking the phone out of the pouch to make non-headset calls or actions. I personally bought this so that I can avoid scratches on both the display and backing of the phone while in my coat pocket.

I am currently using it with a Samsung Galaxy S II GT-I9100. The pouch is black velvet on the outside and a sort of creamy-pearl velvet on the inside. The phone fits snugly inside (the first few uses you have to "break-in" the cord on top so that it opens and closes easily), and an added benefit is that every time you pull it out, the screen gets cleaned of smudges and finger marks. Even though the material is fabric, the phone ringer and the vibration are not muffled/mitigated, so no worry on that part.My phone is resilient and I really don't treat it that bad, but I like the added protection that the pouch gives it because I keep it in my jeans pocket with coins, keys, pens and other stuff, and it doesn't add bulk. Also, since it is all black with a discreet logo on the side, it's inconspicuous and so I don't have to worry about attracting attention. I do have a couple of comments, small and not dealbreakers, but there nevertheless. One is inherent to velvet: sometimes when I pull it out, the pouch comes out with all my pocket contents, so I've learned to wrap my hand around it before pulling out. The second is that being velvet, some might not see it as very manly, but then that really depends on what is fashion in your part of the world. Overall, I'm very happy with the pouch, and I prefer this to having a case which increases bulk or a screen shield that can mess with the touch screen performance. This pouch is way too tight for Galaxy S2. This means that:1) every time you insert the phone into the pouch it will activate the power button 2) to take out the phone you have to pull pretty hard, risking sending the phone flying across the room 3) you cannot use any other case, no matter how thin 4) the top of the phone is flush with the top of the pouch thus somewhat exposed to scratches and impact Also I felt that the loops are too small to be functional. You can barely hook a loop around the ball, and the other loop is too small for even a pinky. Not sure what's the point of it, really. The material is nice to the touch and the design is classy. I would buy a slightly roomier pouch. |
