I actually used the 2006 edition of this book but I'm sure it hasn't gotten worse.

My school didn't offer economics, so this was the only book I used to prepare for the AP exam. I read the book about 3 days in advance. Got two 5's.

Usually I'm not a huge fan of Kaplan for biology and other subjects that are more memorization-based, but for conceptual things like Econ., this was really helpful.

This was well worth the 10-15 dollars spent. Even though I waited until < 1 month before the exam I felt pretty well prepared going in.
