Great if you desire a mediocre score on the LSAT Nov. 7 2013
By Kagnomi - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Kaplan's methods are time consuming, very specific, and all around confusing. With the Logic Games, they only give you one method of solving it and I found it difficult to remember all the steps they teach you to take as well as all the symbols and logic. The Logic Reasoning's problem is that the explanations were just "it's out of scope". No further details. That helped me understand jack squat. I didn't even bother with Reading Comprehension.

Overall, this book's methods and advice set me back at least a month as I tried to memorize all the steps and symbols and tricks. When I finally gave up and put this book down and just tried to do things naturally, I did a lot better on the test. FOLLOW METHODS YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH, NOT WHAT BOOKS TELL YOU IS THE SHORTEST OR EASIEST. My advice is to buy the Powerbook Bibles and one of those 10 Actual LSAT Exam books and go from there. Kaplan's advice was to do a practice test every 2 weeks. Well, I know most people don't have that much time to spend a day on a section learning to categorize a logic game as this type or that type, like they spend a good chunk of the book doing. Everyone I know who got a good score on the LSAT took a practice test every day, first untimed, then timed and reviewed their answers afterwards.

Good start July 30 2013

Basic stuff, it is good to start in the very beginning with it. But definitely there will be many more books needed after. Consider the bibles after.
I think this is a great starter book but shouldn't be your only resource Sept. 4 2014

The June LSAT was VERY difficult this year and I didn't feel prepared by this book. I got through every page and reread the book but there were problem types not discussed in here that were on the test. I didn't score badly but I am retaking the test because I've purchased other products to assist me that I think will really increase my score. I think this is a great starter book but shouldn't be your only resource.

It a big book, but it is worth the buy. The book is both on paper and you can take it with you using the online version.
