Product Description

Book Description

Karma, says Jeffrey Armstrong, is not about retribution, vengeance, punishment, or reward. Karma simply deals with what is. This small, powerful book explores the "Law of Karma" - central in Hinduism, Ayyavazhi, Sikhism, Buddhism, and Jainism - from both a historical and a spiritual perspective, and explains how to tap it to enrich and enlarge one's experience of the world.

About the Author

Jeffrey Armstrong's books and audiotapes include Life Without Fear, Vishnu and Lakshmi, Vedic Astrology Deck, and others. A popular speaker and expert guest on national media, he lives in Vancouver.

4.0 out of 5 stars Theory of karma - 101, May 10 2008
By Prasanna "Prasanna - The Trojan" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Karma: The Revolving Cycle Of Life (Hardcover)
I read lot of chapters from the book, it is indeed very good. I usually don't pick up a book just by looking at the cover but this book felt very much interesting. May be just my past karma that brought me to the book :). The book is very lucid and simple to read. Even a random page from the book is good read. Know your karma, and read the book.

Karma is a fascinating look at a topic we've all heard about but really know little. Vedic Astrologer Jeffrey Armstrong highly readable text makes it not only easy to understand but shows how to employ karma into this life and prehaps the next! Great anecdotes.
Consider giving this book to a favorite grad this June or to your favorite couple for their wedding. What a wonderful gift-- KARMA. Jeffrey has a high tech background and corporate experience so he's able to speak to audiences both well-versed in Eastern philosophy and those newbies who are just delving into the topic. Gorgeous book with amazing illustrations. MUST HAVE FOR EVERY SHELF. Great late night re-reading. ENJOY

3.0 out of 5 stars Misleading, Jan 24 2008
By Dorje - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Karma: The Revolving Cycle Of Life (Hardcover)
This might be a reasonably comprehensive book on the Hindu approach to karma. So why is the cover portray a Tibetan wheel of life? Is this just to take advantage of the current caché of Tibetan Buddhism? Or is this implying that the Vedic and specifically Tibetan Bhuddist concepts of self, mind or karma are the same, when they are in fact radically different? In any case, the authors complicity in this misleading cover is, well, bad karma.
