KATE & ALLIE was one of the most innovative sitcoms of the 1980s. After being very disappointed that the series was not released past its first season in the US market, I was ecstatic that it was made available in Canada and available for purchase from US customers. Well-written and performed by two talented lead actresses, the show showed what it means to be human as two best friends (Susan Saint James and Jane Curtin) remain close even after one gets married. The strength of two women's friendship endures even after a man enters the picture.A must-have series for anyone interested not only in great TV but also storylines focusing on the human condition.
