KC and the Sunshine Band Ruled 1974, Feb 26 2001
This review is from: Kc & the Sunshine Band C. (VHS Tape)
If you missed the seventies, and can't imagine why anyone would, then check out this video and see where the funk really came from. True enough, nothing ages well, but the video and sound quality are watchable and listenable, especially to true fans, who don't care how they get their "Sunshine" fix, as long as they get it! I personally feel the video is worth a small loss in sound and picture quality, for all that great music, captured in time! You won't be disapointed

I Dig This Video, May 27 2000
This review is from: Kc & the Sunshine Band C. (VHS Tape)
I just received this video last Thursday and watched it and I think this video is really cool and funky. I disagree with one of the reviewer's coments that the picture and sound quality is poor. The picture quality is typical film camera quality of the 70's but is reasonably good. Back in the 70's bands typically used either film cameras of the standard used for KC & The Sunshine Band concert or studio cameras which give a high quality picture. As for the sound quality, I think the sound quality is really good, almost as good as a TV studio recording. Anyway that's enough on the coments of the picture and sound quality. Commenting on the performance I must say KC & The Sunshine Band produced really cool funky disco grooves of 1974 that disco junkies like me love to get down and boogie to. That concert was one big disco party because everybody was gettin' down to the funky rhythm. So for all you disco lovers out their who love watching early/mid 70's disco concerts, I think you will enjoy watching this video.

Jammin' Video, April 21 2000
This review is from: Kc & the Sunshine Band C. (VHS Tape)
I believe that, even though the quality of the concert video is dated (1974), it is still very entertaining. I don't know how you can watch this video and not get into the groove of the music. The band (particularly the horn section)really steals the show, and the music and entertainment on the stage and in the audience makes you want to get up and dance.
