Keeping and breeding geckos is a very useful and informative book that any gecko lover will appreciate. this book covers all aspects of keeping, raising and breeding geckos. it details temperature, housing, feeding, sexing and habitats of many different species including some truly rare and exotic specimens. Stuning professional photos and extremely detailed descriptions that are current even by todays standards. this book was first released in german in 1985 and was revised and updated in english in 1991. Even in 2010 "25years" later this book still rivals most newly released books on geckos and sits on our "TOP SHELF" *4.5* stars, if its available buy it.

Gecko Book Aug. 10 2008

Amazing pictures! The pictures in this book are like photographs that have been pasted into the book. I only gave this book 3 stars because it doesn't give much advise on taking care of your every day geckos that you see in pet stores. More of a natural history book than a 'care' book. I originally bought this book because I was thinking of getting a house gecko (which I didn't after all), and looked at the index online and it showed many pages for that particular gecko, however when I got it home, it just mentions it, no care material at all! Nice looking beautiful book if I was doing a report on geckos, but not for gecko care at home.
Beginner Gecko handling Feb. 22 2006

For someone that doesnt know much about Geckos, this book was an awesome introduction to the speices and their general care and well being. At the time of purchasing my gecko i couldnt identify the species but was educated about its rarity once reading this fully demonstrated book with lots of pics and info about my newest pet. Highly recommended for those beginners wanting to know more.
