I love this so much. April 2 2013

Remember before you had kids and you dreamed about all the adventurous, enriching activities you would do with your future children? Then you had them and you still had good intentions, but life (and exhaustion) got in the way? While there's still time, before they've all grown up and gone away, get this book. It lists all those awesome adventures in checklist form. I don't know what it is about a check box, but it really gets me moving. My kids like them even more than I do. This is so much better than all those "things to do on a rainy day" books. These are things you really WANT to do, and you don't have to spend $20 at Hobby Lobby for each activity. Most of them are absolutely free. Kids grow up SO fast. Do it now!

User friendly for grandparents! May 7 2013

Sometimes it's difficult to connect with your grandchildren who are all different ages and are used to sitting in front of a video screen or having some kind of earphone in! This book is truly the answer. Divided by season, there are 448 ideas that will allow children of all ages to be entertained and/or challenged while getting some fresh air and exercise. Set up with little check boxes, the kids can even keep track of how many of the activities they accomplish. In addition to the 448 ideas, there are also recipes, projects, and games sprinkled throughout the book. No special equipment or skills required for most of these activities. Just grab the grandchildren, go outside, and start doing things together to build great memories!

An Outdoor Bible for Grandmothers May 8 2013

This is a fantastic book for bringing generations together, sharing good times, and a fantastic way to enjoy nature. I love this book!!! I live about a thousand miles from my grandchildren. I only see them about twice a year, which makes my time with them very precious. I gave them this book as a gift and we have had a wonderful time in phone conversations checking off all the activities we have already accomplished on previous summer vacations, and are also working on plans for all the new things we are going to try this summer.

Best gift ever! Sept. 22 2013

My mom and I got such a kick out of checking off the adventures we've done in this book. She's still working on Autumn #42 and I'm getting pretty good at Summer #49, but we still have some growing up to do. We bought copies for all the little ones in our lives, but it's really a guide for all ages.

Fun book! May 12 2013
By Jared bruggman - Published on
Format: Paperback
I live in the suburbs, and I was nervous the book would be for more "outdoorsy" areas. But my kids love checking activities off the list, and it's fun for them to have some dream activities that we can get to as they get older and more adventurous.
