Wow, Lora Leigh has outdone herself with this exciting addition to the Tempting Seals/Elite-Ops series and you won't want to miss this erotic thrill ride. Containing non-stop action and enough intrigue, twists and steamy drama that you won't be sure who's playing who until the last few pages. And sexy, oh my. This is possibly the hottest LL I've ever read and that's saying quite a lot! Ian and Kira literally burn up the pages as they each strive for dominance in a cat and mouse relationship fated from the onset.Ever since Ian Richards abandoned the Navy Seals to lead his father's drug cartel there's been a `small' price on his head. It seems everyone wants him dead these days. His former team consider him a traitor and then there's the rival cartels and assorted terrorist groups who all want a shot at him. Ian can't afford to let anyone get close; until the spirited Kira Porter enters the scene. This pair has been dancing around a relationship since the last book HIDDEN AGENDAS, never quite getting the opportunity to act on the growing chemistry between them. Ian definitely doesn't have the time or patience to get involved with Kira now even though she might be the only one he can trust to cover his back and help him complete his mission. She's arrived just in time though because the lines are starting to blur between right and wrong, is Ian becoming the drug lord he came here to kill? Kira, AKA the chameleon is the secret weapon of the DHS. Bold and passionate she's a master of disguise, able to blend in and assume any persona, anywhere. No one's ever been able to trace her movements except Ian who instinctively always seems to know who she is. Believing Ian to be deep undercover Kira has come to Aruba with a mission of her own, but is she already too late? And will she be able to complete her agenda, ultimately betraying Ian now that her heart is involved? Now that I've given you the basic plot I can tell you that Ian and Kira also have a lot of sex, a lot of really good, explicit sex. Lora Leigh, the master of the bedroom scene has managed to hook this couple up nearly every second page. Which you might think would get tedious but LL manages to make each love scene just different and exciting enough to keep you gasping. I loved watching their story unfold, as each forces the other to open their hearts, taking their relationship to new and exciting levels. Drawing heavily on plotlines established in HIDDEN AGENDAS (book2) people are rarely who they seem in KILLER SECRETS. As well as the power struggles between Ian and Kira we're introduced to several interesting secondary characters including the inner workings of the well written Diego Fuentes as Ian`s cartel leading father. I had surprising empathy for him by the end as he struggled to gain his sons love. Durango team remains on the fringes throughout as they try to figure out Ian's motives and fans will delight in the tidbits thrown at us regarding these past heroes from the series. The ending contains a spectacular shootout and even though you know its coming I couldn't wait to see how things would play out. This series just gets better and better and thankfully the editing here is also somewhat improved. There's still a few small mistakes and Kira removes her shoes twice in one scene but as a whole this is a great read. Nathan Malone's story is up next in WILDCARD and this is not to be missed, my favourite from the series.

Words is not enough for the very good author Lora Leigh. I admired all the characters she put inside the story when i read it everything was there, never ending action,romance, politics. its sizzling hot when i start reading it.I bought more books for my collection.

Fans of this series will not want to miss Killer Secrets when it releases March 4, 2008. This gripping story is packed with intrigue, drama, emotion, and the kind of highly erotic love scenes fans of this author have come to crave. I really do not know how Lora Leigh does it. She could write a phone book that would make the reader hot and bothered! Although many of her heroes share some basic qualities (who doesn't love a good Alpha male hero?), she manages to create very individual characters, who are definitely their own men. One could never confuse one of these men for the other, despite their similarities. Ian is just the kind of head-strong, hard-headed Alpha male that makes for a great romantic hero. He has more issues than you can shake a stick at, but that somehow only enhances his appeal. Then again, he has far more good qualities than he does issues, so it balances out in the end... And the issues he has? Well, they aren't anything the love of a good woman can't see him through. Kira Porter is nothing if not a good woman. Although an heiress with more money in her account than most of us see in a lifetime, she works tirelessly as an undercover agent in defense of her country - not because she needs to, but because she wants to. How could Ian not love and admire a woman with the kind of values he himself holds dear? Of course, that doesn't stop him from trying to keep Kira out of the action, for her own safety, he says. Those Alpha males come with some pretty heavy duty protective genes, you know. Out of all of the Tempting SEALs novels, Killer Secrets has to be my favorite yet. There is so much involved in this book - plot twists, numerous intrigues, plans within plans. People are rarely who they seem on the surface, and the situation is rarely under anyone's control, but in the end things wrap up for a great happy ending for Kira and Ian. Even with our daring couple's happy ending, we most definitely haven't seen the last of this riveting saga. Ms. Leigh keeps the plots spinning as she continues the ongoing storyline that weaves throughout all of the books in the Tempting SEALs series. I know that I am absolutely aching with anticipation for the next one! This author does not pull any punches. She challenges images of true love and arouses with her incredible, hard edged writing. The characters, plot, setting all make for a first class read. However, sometimes she's a little too tough for me and so usually I need a fall-back book to enjoy while I'm working through her books. That's right--working. Her books all have a great payoff, but for me, they are not relaxing or escapism. This is the hard wall of the eroto-suspense-romance- whatever-of book building so be forewarned. Kinda like a chocolate treat with a bite of chili thrown in to keep you tingly and awake....
