The guide worried me a bit by being small, but it is 75% of a WII game case in size, and best of it is in full color. Let me just say this guide does what it needs to do in Kirby's Epic Yarn. It informs you of where all the items are, a run through map including advice for each level for struggle, and especially numbering each item section and giving small sentences of how to get a certain item really help. Overall it does have some extra's like enemy bio's, fabric's, time trials etc.

At first I didn't like the spiral bound book because it wasn't like all the other strategy guides I had and I'm very OCD about my games... But after using the guide I wish they were all like this. It makes it SO much easier. You can glance down at it in the middle of the game and don't have to worry about the book closing itself if you knock it off the table... Not really a big deal considering this game is with levels but in a game that is constant like Epic Mickey or Zelda it would be nice. I normally play the level and if I missed anything I look at the guide and find it from that. It gives good tips on fighting the boss's as well.

As previously stated, the entire guide is in full color. It walks through every level with you pretty thoroughly. The game itself is kid friendly so I didn't want the guide to help me through the levels, I wanted a guide that would help me complete the game to 100%.Unfortunately, that being said the guide does no such thing. There is no sections in there for any of the side missions or little secrets to help you achieve certain goals. I've never owned a strategy guide that just told you how to get from point a to point b. I was very disappointed in the guide, and I slightly regret buying it. It's inexpensive and a really small, cute design but it's essentially useless as it has nothing to offer unless you're stuck on a level.
