This is my first Kirigami book and I am totally delighted with discovering this beautiful art form for myself. The book has few words, yet the instructions are very clear to a first timer as myself. I would rank the designs as medium complexity. They are definitely NOT simple childish designs, yet they are possible to achieve with a pair of regular good scissor, no special cutting tools.The book is organized in the following way: One side of the open book has 4 final designs, and the other side of the book has instruction on how to fold the paper and outline of the image you need to cut when the paper is folded for the same four designs. The book has 14 pages, yet it is packed with projects so I felt I got my money's worth. There is a total of 24 patterns. The book also comes with 15 colored Kirigami papers. And a final note that I was so delighted with some of the designs that I adopted them for use in my art quilts, basically making them a variation on Hawaiian quilting. I was delighted with the results of both of my paper and fabric projects! I recommend this book! |
