I waited a long time to get my hand on this book! The story itself, to me was not that shocking or a big revelation as I worked in the food industry for a while, but I came to the conclusion that what made it such a big hit is just that so many people could relate to it. An easy, entertaining and interesting read. It did not however have me reflecting on much, I was entertained reading it, then shut the cover and moved on. I also suggest reading "Waiter's Rant" by Steve Dublanica.

A really good read, and this guy can write. If you've seen him on tv and love the shows its well worth reading believe me. Very very entertaining and after watching tony on tv for so many years when i read this its like i could hear his voice being spoken with every word i read. If you love food and an awesome narator just read it... you may learn a few things that you never knew existed and will appreciate life s little more from here on end.

Start to finish, I couldn't put it down. This guy is just an awesome writer and tells his story in such a frank manner, I loved it.

This was written a while ago, so it's a little out of date, but still really relevant, especially to New Yorkers. He says his original target audience was his fellow soldiers on the firing line and that appears to be true. Some of his war stories are hilarious, notably the reason he became a chef in the first place, and his adventures with a criminal organization.

Still reading, but so far it is all it promised to be, and since I also watch his Parts Unknown series on CNN, this is so much fun, and so surprisingly educational, lol. I recommend it even if you are not a cook, or chef, but because if you eat out, yes, it sure is nice information on what to do and not to do "out there" in "Restaurantville Town".
