About the Author
Pierre Lamielle was raised in North Vancouver, BC and took design and illustration at Capilano College and attended the French Culinary Institute in New York City. He worked for both the Vancouver Sun and Province newspapers as a designer before moving to Calgary, where he landed a food column at the Calgary Herald's Swerve magazine.

Loved this creative, witty, comical yet practical easy to make recipes in this book. The Author makes cooking fun and amusing. A must have in your cook book collection and one to share with friends and family - everyone will love it!

After hearing about the book on CBC radio, my wife and I bought it. I wasn't thrilled with the layout. Too much "non-cook book". Maybe it is the chemist in me, but I want an easy to follow recipe , without having to sort through pictures and stories to find it.

Wittily written and whimsically illustrated, this cookbook is hilarious from start to finish. The drawings convey plenty of joy while providing apt instruction in everything from puttanesca sauce to pesto and latkes, and using this is plenty of fun. A wonderful addition to my cookbook collection, and probably the cutest.
