Anyone in the market for this appliance should definitely buy from Amazon, as the price is the best I've seen (especially since we got it on sale 50% off) It shipped quickly and arrived unscathed. Best purchase ever!
It's very powerful. I do a lot of baking because my GF is celiac. Every thing has to be Gluten Free.
Her mom made a Gluten Free bread mix in her Bread maker and burnt out the motor.
I can triple up on the same recipe and it doesn't even seem like its stressing the motor,
It is one of the quietest models. I live in an apartment and can bake all night and not wake anyone up mixing.
The version I bought came with a really nice KitchenAid timer and a small set of bowls.
My only regret is not buying one of these years ago.
If you are thinking of getting one Do it! You will not be disappointed.
The customer service people at KitchenAid/Whirlpool are super great. However it's a huge hastle to purolater the entire mixer to them and have them send me a new one.
The one thing I use it for with great regularity is making bread or buns -- excellent for this use.
Of course, I've also used it for whipping cream, cake batter, cookie batter, and even for mixing up cream cheese logs.
This is so sturdy, that I can see using this for the rest of my life without ever having to replace it. In fact, I'll have to decide who to leave it to because it's that kind of quality.
The only thing I can add as a slight drawback is that I now wish I had ordered the Artisan rather than the Pro bowl. The Artisan lifts up (like a horse rearing) and this one uses a lever to lift up in the same horizontal position. This makes it a bit inconvenient for some of my uses, especially when I want to lift the mixer and scrape the sides or add more liquid. But it's a minor thing and probably just me. I absolutely love this and definitely recommend it for anyone who makes bread, buns, or does any regular baking. Enjoy!

I love this product. I have a small baking business and when I have a large order to fill this Professional Mixer together with is smaller "brother" does the trick.Published 20 months ago by Karlene
This machine has helped aging arms to continue making: bread, sausages, cooking for dozens. The attachments are well worth the money.Published 22 months ago by Larry Jones
