Love KitchenAid and have several sturdy, useful attachments. This one, though, was disappointing. The flow of the juice as you hold the citrus being juiced unavoidably splashes onto your hand and down your arm, since its design requires you to hold the citrus in place. The fact that it mounts sideways so it can drip into a bowl causes this.
Secondly, hanging onto the citrus with all one's might to prevent it flying off the spinning juicer isn't fun. Returned this item and purchased a small Cuisinart upright citrus juicer, which works much better (the Cuisinart has a cover which serves to protect you from flying juice and gives something easy to press on, and has a sieve which separates the pits out). A little grip mat under the Cuisinart holds it tightly in place on the counter.

Works well and makes amazing orange juice. The only issue I have is that the reservoir for the pulp fills up quickly and it needs to be cleaned out quite often,

I bought this because it was priced right and I thought...why not? I've used it a few times and it works really well. Easy to clean and well made. My only issue I had was that the juice kept running down my arm. It wasn't that bad but thought it was worth mentioning. I'm glad I bought it.

This citrus juicer attachment attaches to any KitchenAid mixer easily through the front attachment port. It works as expected; you just hold up a citrus fruit to the reamer and apply some pressure as the reamer and the mixer motor do all of the hard work. Plenty of juice is extracted from the fruit. This unit is designed in such a way that there are minimal parts to it, making it very easy to clean and store. There is some credibility to the argument that it might have been a better design to have this item function horizontally rather than vertically, but hey, at least it works really well in the vertical position, so it's hard to let that one design flaw both you. Makes quick work of juicing lemons, limes, oranges and grapefruits.

Product arrived in one day. Tried the juicer out and it works well. Really fast and catches the seeds. Wish the seed filter was permanently attached but I guess it is for ease of cleaning. My son said, "so this is what real orange juice tastes like".

It is harder to use the juicer when doing limes and lemons but it still accomplishes the goal. The pulp can have a tendency to block the juice from getting into the bowl.

I had an electric citrus juicer for years that you push down on, it finally stopped turning. This one I find the juice runs down my arm if I don't hold my hand up, so tend to have to push with my fingers, which is uncomfortable, due to arthritis I prefer to use the center of my hand. It does the job though, is a messier clean-up than I am used to.
