This is the best turner I`ve ever purchased. I really love the bowed handle for added leverage and my hands don`t have to go close to the hot sides of the pan. The thin edges are also great for getting under anything you`re frying, or even get over-cooked baked goods off a baking sheet. I use a non-stick ceramic frying pan so I never use higher than Medium heat and I`ve had no issue with the edges melting, something I`ve seen with every other turner I`ve bought in the past. It has also not damaged the fry pan, which is a big deal since it was quite expensive.
Only slight complaint is that it can be difficult to store in drawers due to the bowing in the handle, but I hang mine with no issue.

The slotted spatula certainly looks nice. Stylistically, it's an impressive looking item, and the girth of the handle is ergonomically appealing. So far, the spatula has tolerated significant heat on a griddle over gas flame with no sign of melting or other damage. It's got a thin enough front blade to allow for easy turning of just about anything, and yet the spatula is tough enough to assist with the removal of - say - an over baked cookie on a sheet that wasn't properly greased...(how would I ever know that since I never burn the cooki...ok, so I burned them once).
But, there's a clunky factor to contend with here. The handle is bowed in such a way that if you have drawers that aren't too deep, you may have some trouble stowing this item. Also, there's not much room in the crowded spatula crock for this item unless you remove a few things. That's my only complaint.
But I can't knock a star off for something that is open and obvious and which doesn't affect the function of this item, at all.

My wife wanted a spatula for christmas. I know that's not a great present but I used it as a stocking stuffer. Anyway, the handle was the important part. It is made from a hard vinyl which can be easily washed in the dishwasher. The OXO one she was using before had a rubberized handle which overtime would ooze a oil after being washed repeatedly. Also the flat part itself of the OXO began to chip. The kitchen aid one has a very favorable angle for use on the stove. Overall great.
