I purchased this product as there are only two of us living in the house now. It has been used regularly and I have no complaints. I assume I am saving energy by not heating up the wall oven. There was not an energy star label attached so I am not sure of the amount of energy it uses (hence the four star rating instead of five). This counter oven looks good and is easy to wipe out. I like the several choices of rack heights available and the drip pan works well. It holds a good sized casserole dish. I have baked biscuits in it and was very pleased. I would recommend this oven to anyone who cooks smaller amounts of food. So far it has all the features of my larger oven, just not the room.

The KitchenAid KCO223CU was on sale just when we needed a new counter-top oven. It replaced a Black & Decker Classic toaster oven, which really wasn't very good at anything. Comparing these two ovens is a bit like comparing apples with oranges as the KitchenAid is certainly more capable in a variety of ways. So far, everything we have made in the oven has turned out great, although toast does come out a little dry. (We have tried a denser, more moist bread and that seems to help a little.)

It should be noted that the convection feature cannot be turned off when in baking mode. This isn't a complaint as the convection feature improves the cooking process. I have noticed, however, that recipes require about the same amount of time for cooking. Since there is no auto-conversion mode (as found on many larger convection ranges), I thought I would have to experiment more. It simply hasn't been an issue. The convection fan kicks in automatically and is quiet. Do note that this unit can get hot, so exercise some caution when working around it. We have a coffee maker next to ours and there isn't a danger of melting it, but I wouldn't want to accidentally bump my hand into the side of the oven while it was on.

Build-quality is first-rate and the provided baking pans are solid with an enamel coating. The oven is certainly larger than our old toaster oven, but about average for similar style ovens. The timer is a simple twist knob and there is no digital read-out, but this helps keep the cost down and is adequate for most uses. You can always use your own timer, but this one works fine. The crumb tray pulls out from the front and is very easy to use. There are 7 different rack positions, so precise placement of pans and dishes is easy.

My wife needed a new countertop oven, so I started searching the market. This is an oven not a chintzy little toy with idiot buttons. Real dial type controls. A 12 inch pizza fits. All stainless steel. Small footprint on counter, yet large volume. Great value at full price. Fantastic value when on sale.

When my toaster broke I replaced it with this appliance which I find to be a capable substitute for a conventional oven as well. Makes great toast and accommodates a full-sized casserole. Perfect for toasting nuts. A cinch to operate and the side handles make it easy to move around. This is my first countertop oven and I would buy it again without hesitation.

This began as a slightly overpriced but paying for quality sort of purchase. I needed to replace my most used kitchen appliance, and a KitchenAid at THAT PRICE, with free shipping? How could i go wrong? It worked nicely out of the box, making toast, brownies, corn on the cob, etc. Then it started to need different sockets, and fuse resets. Ok, old building, no big thing. Well, it was a big thing because one day (13 mos after delivery) i plugged it in and Nothing Happened. I should have looked into local repair shops a little better, because NO ONE repairs small appliances. At all. My building super did a sort of autopsy after i found out no one would even look at it, and at one year, one month, it would not turn on. The tiny tiny motherboard was dead.

Lesson learned. If you must get this, and Anything seems funny in the first year, replace it under warranty.
Would i recommend it to a friend? Only if their city has a local repair facility.

This Kitchenaid product has proven to be an invaluable replacement for the oven during the warm summer months ahead.
Quick supper dishes are no problem for this little convection oven. Browning, broiling, warming or cooking all a charm. Watch your fingers when removing the tray. To allow for the recommended clearance for safety, it sits across a corner of my kitchen counter and has a relatively small foot print. Looks great too. Great Value for the money, and the dials instead of the LCD readouts are no problem.

This KitchenAid has been more than I could have asked for. It is very easy to use, takes up less room than I thought and looks great. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a combo toaster oven/convection oven. It will save money in the long run as my husband and I will no longer have to put the oven on to cook for two.
