Pro 500 Series Bowl-Lift Stand Mixer with 325 Watts features a burnished metal 'C' dough hook and a 5-qt. narrow stainless steel bowl with handle

From Amazon.ca

Attractively housed in durable, die-cast metal, this stand mixer features a high-performance 325-watt motor that produces enough power to handle the heaviest mixtures and mix large batches easily. The unit's 10 speeds range from a very fast whip to a very slow stir, allowing for everything from whipping egg whites to slow churning bread dough, while its Soft Start function helps prevent ingredient splatter and flour clouds by gently accelerating to the selected speed after start-up. To ensure even blending, the appliance creates a unique mixing action that spins the beater clockwise while the shift spins counter clockwise. The mixer provides a 5-quart-capacity brushed-stainless-steel mixing bowl with a contoured handle, as well as a burnished flat beater, a burnished dough hook, a wire whip, and a one-piece pouring shield. Other highlights include a 9-cup flour capacity, direct-drive transmission with all-metal gears, automatic safety shut-off in the event of an obstruction or overloading, and a sturdy lifting mechanism that uses a metal arm and steel lever to effortlessly raise the ingredient-filled mixing bowl. Available in a variety of fashionable colors, the stand mixer measures 13-2/7 by 10-2/5 by 16-2/5 inches and carries a one-year hassle-free replacement warranty.

The kitchen aid mixer is a wonderful mixer, in terms of blending, mixing, whipping, kneading etc. The job is always well done. I bought the Pro 5 because it has a 14 cup flour capacity, and I used once a week to make bread. But there was always a smell when I kneaded the bread, which suggested that the engine was overheating. I returned the first mixer to the store after one month because of this and exchanged it for a new one. The new one had the same issue, but when I went on-line I realized that this was considered normal. After using it for one year & two months, it suddenly stopped working. No grinding, strange noises, etc. It just quit. I called Kitchen Aid (whirlpool) and discovered that they have a 1 year warranty. After spending $500 on this mixer, I am extremely disappointed to discover that they only guarentee their product for one year.

5 days after the warranty ran out ( I mean Whirlpool - one year - really???) the gears stripped and it died. I was using 6 cups of flour (which is well under the maximum they recommend) and about 30 seconds worth of mixing. I made bread, cakes, cookies and teabread in it. It is neither professional nor up to standard. They are still using the old reputation of Kitchenaid when they actually worked forever but the quality today has gone down considerably.
For the price we pay for these things I could have bought gourmet bread daily and been better off. I am now looking at Bosch Universal Plus [...]

I really love the kitchenaid mixer! I bake my own bread and it mixes so fast and I don't have to get my hands all sticky. It' s a powerful machine and I can make big batches. I am very happy with this kitchenaid stand mixer! Money well spent!

A nice change from the hand held mixer, blends well, cleans up easily after use, does need a bit of space for storage though.
