Product Description

From Publishers Weekly

Vaughn's entertaining fantasy debut introduces Kitty Norville, a closeted werewolf who hosts a popular Denver radio program called The Midnight Hour. During her show, Kitty takes phone calls from listeners (not all of whom are human) while trying to maintain her secret identity. Unfortunately, the local vampire crime family wants her show canceled and has hired someone to kill her. In fact, it's during the course of Kitty's dramatic on-air conversation with her would-be assassin that she reveals to listeners that she is, indeed, a werewolf. Eventually, local police enlist her to help track down a serial killer who exhibits werewolflike tendencies. While Kitty's occasional neediness, snide tone and attempts at werewolf wit can grate, this remains a surprisingly human tale. Blurbs from Charlaine Harris and L.A. Banks will cue their readers. Thoroughly enjoyed reading about Kitty and view of pack behaviour.
After reading the first in the series, I promptly bought the rest of them and read them back to back. Kitty Raises Hell should be coming today as it just came out!
I only recently discovered Paranormal books and would recommend this book to first timers.

Ms. Vaughn has created a wonderful new character in Kitty, the werewolf DJ. Where parts of the plot aren't the most original, they are given new life and a fresh spin in this, her first novel. A quick and fun read and well worth picking up. I have all ready ordered her next novel in the series, Kitty Goes to Washington. Can't wait to read it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cute and fun, Dec 7 2005
By A Customer
This review is from: Kitty and The Midnight Hour (Mass Market Paperback)
I enjoyed the book. The characters were real and the interactions were interesting. However, much of the content was not quite original and is a bit reminiscent of Laurell K. Hamilton and Kelley Armstrong. Not bad, though. I always enjoy a well-written werewolf novel.
