After reading reviews on this cap, I had expected a noisy drinking bottle! The flow is GREAT and I don't have any noise issues at all. I did drip water though the air valve first drink, but after a little adjusting it was good to go. Just try and keep the air valve above the water level and facing up (suck tipped horizontal, don't pour into your mouth) , and don't over-tighten the lid and it will work amazingly! Oh, and it is a perfect fit for my 750ml stainless steel Otterbottle brand water bottle!
The reason I bought it is that I have a loop cap and I manage to dump the water all over myself almost daily! Even when standing still! I didn't buy this thinking it was leakproof, and it is not. But it is DRINKABLE!!

There's nothing that could be wrong with this cap if you already have the Klean kanteen water bottle. I needed to replace my toddler's sippy lid with a "grown-up" lid and now she has a water bottle she can use for as long as we can keep track of it!

We had a bunch of kleen kanteens that we used as sippy cups when my son was a baby. Now that he is in school, I just bought a couple of the sports caps. The sports caps are actually WAY better than the sippy spouts that came with the Kleen Kanteens. They don't leak when closed, my son can open and close them himself when he is at school, and they come with an arm that attaches it to the bottle, which was handy when we are travelling. I didn't have to worry about dropping the lid on the airplane. Have had the lid for a few months now and the bottles for 4 years.

Noisy
Haven't had the problem of leakage, but like the other reviewer, I found this cap to be really noisy. Not a deal breaker or whatever, but probably not best for the study hall.
