Klipsch Premium Earbuds

Product Description

Thanks to its advanced 3-button mic and remote system, which Klipsch designed in conjunction with Apple, the Image S4i is the first third-party headset to offer full control of your iPhone, iPod touch and iPod music and video content.* Unlike other headsets, the S4i positions its mic and remote at the cable yoke to create a more natural feel when answering calls and controlling music. The mic is a highly intelligible 360° design with echo cancellation, so you'll be heard crystal clear and won't have to worry about the external noise around you

4.0 out of 5 stars Arguably the best value in-ears on the market! Oct. 31 2011
By Hassan
I spent a long time researching and looking for quality in ear headphones that would not break the bank. Finally I found these!

First I would like to say that I am no expert in music. I do love music and I listen to A LOT of music, and many different genres depending on my mood (Dance, hip-hop, RnB, Rock, some metal, Pretty much everything except country or orchestral)
I have to say that these earphones sound AMAZING! The highs are crisp and the mids are great. You can definitely feel the bass, but its not too overpowering that it ruins the experience. At work, I listen at the lowest possible level on my ipod touch and it still sounds good! And by lowest I mean if I click the volume down button on the remote, the music is gone! And even at that low level, I have trouble noticing when my colleagues are talking to me. Sound isolation is that good. The remote works perfectly fine, no issues there. Call quality (tested it using the ipod touch skype as I dont use iphones) is quite good. The only thing is that with the great sound isolation, you will find yourself speaking louder than normal because you cant hear yourself. Personally, whenever Im skyping with these, I just pop out one of the ear buds and listen with the other. But if you dont care about speaking loudly then you dont have to do that.

The only reason Im giving this a 4 star rating is because of the build quality. Its not the greatest. I have had these for a month now and already the sleeves where the wire connects to the earphones are torn. Not the wire itself, but the protective sleeves around it. I do use mine a lot and I do use them for the gym too, but I was slightly annoyed that this happened within a month. BUT this does NOT affect performance what so ever.

3.0 out of 5 stars Sound great, but don't stand up! March 28 2013
By Redcoat
In less than two years, five purchased pairs and three replacement pairs have all failed in the same way. I purchased six pairs of these earphones for myself and my young adult children at over $120.00 each (with taxes) at the Apple Store. Within a year, three of the sets had lost the sound in one earphone. Klipsch was great in sending replacement sets upon proof that the failed earphones were less than one year old, however, less than a year later, all of the sets (except mine) have the same problem - no sound in one of the earphones! Sooo, if you are buying these for yourself and you use them very carefully, they will last and you will be happy, but if you buy them for your children or active young adults, save your money and buy another brand at The Source and get their replacement warranty. None of my children use Klipsch products any more. I believe that the issue is with the jack. A sturdier or a 90 degree jack would put less strain on the wires at this obvious weak spot in the design of these otherwise great earphones. If you use the right size ear tips (the earphones come with four sizes) they will stay comfortably in your ears and you will be amazed by the sound. I wish I could rate these earphones higher, but with such a high failure rate I cannot.

While its true that these do sound like a $150 set of earbuds, the build quality is very cheap and all plastic with a fragile wire, ive had my pair for 6 months and they stopped working because of that, i contacted costumer service concerning the warranty, they made me pay $15 to ship them to Ontario, and then 2 weeks later they said they're not qualified for warranty and didn't even refund the shipping charges. And when i called they were very rude and disrespectful. I always treat my earbuds well and have a separate pair for Gym, i only use these when im walking to school.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Happy - Sound great and very comfortable Sept. 10 2011
I purchased these headphones to work with my iPod Touch (4th gen) and I've been very happy with the purchase. Not only does the sound quality stand out on these babies... they are also extremely comfortable.

One little added bonus that I really didn't think much of at the time is the little velvet bag they come in. When I need to travel, I find the bag comes in handy and is easier to toss them into my bag or pocket when they're in the bag rather than having them loose and running the risk to getting caught on everything.

Overall I'm very happy with the sound quality and comfort of these headphones. I was attracted to these headphones based on the positive review from CNET. Enjoy!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not a durable product! July 7 2013
Verified Purchase
Performed excellently well when I bought it July 2013. By mid-August (barely a month of very mild usage), the volume button was no longer working. This product is in no way a durable one - judging from my real experience.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Earbuds May 28 2012
Verified Purchase
Awesome sound quality in a very lightweight and easy to manage. The remote/mic assembly is much more accessible and easier to use than the stock Apple headphones, and the frequency response is near-perfect across the spectrum. The drivers in these are incredibly efficient, so there's very little need to raise the volume. Add to this an almost perfect isolation seal formed by the eartips, (of which many are shipped in order to accommodate for different ear sizes, I use the larger set,) and you have a very, very solid pair of passive noise-cancellers. Amazon, as always, got my order through quickly and the product shipped within 3 days.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not for working out - otherwise good.
Great sound, good design - however, do not wear them when working out - mine shorted out due to sweat, causing Siri to be evoked every 30 seconds.

The cord is very thine which make it feel fragile. The sound is very similar to my old 15$ SkullCandy ear-buds.
