The first of the Sommerville brother's trilogy:Gaby and Ruarke's life together starts off as anything but pleasant. They don't speak the same language. Gaby lies about her name so he won't know about her abusive family and Ruarke wants to marry her only because she looks like his dead first love. This isn't your typical romance novel. But, it has it all... love, suspense, characters with both a good and bad side and some unusual problems. If you read one romance book in your life let it be this one.

I was hooked from the 1st 2 chapters & couldn't let go. This fast-paced, action-packed love story left me breathless with excitement. Both Gaby & Ruarke are strong-willed people who have faced adversity & survived. Sparks fly as their fiery personalities to clash from time to time. (I also really liked the part where Gaby learns English so she could yell at Ruarke in his own tongue!)
I read this book when it 1st came out & I've since enjoyed re-reading it lots more times. It's a beautiful start to the Sommerville brothers' trilogy. Don't miss #2 Knight's Lady & #3 Knight's Honor. They're all Keepers!!!
