4.0 out of 5 stars Sound and silence Aug 3 2012
By D. O. Cosgrove - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
A slightly quirky title for a sterling performance, mainly of Schubert Symphonies, but interspersed with more modern works. The performances are good, especially of the orchestral version of Satie's Gymnopédie I and II and of Schubert's 3rd. And the 5.1 sound is outstanding.

5.0 out of 5 stars Floating sounds Dec 28 2012

I like and have listened to all forms of music over the years and I have never realised that music could have a sense of hovering. Recommended for easy listening.

4.0 out of 5 stars An interesting theme album, the music better than the theme Mar 3 2013
By John J. Puccio - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
The real question is whether any of this familiar music is any better executed by Erik Jacobsen and The Knights than on many other recordings of it. The answer rests on the high quality of the performances, which are flexible, precise, virtuosic, and refined, Jacobsen leading the group with a deft hand. So, yes is the answer. Goofy album cover, though.
