Very nice assortment, modern take on knitted slippers,

If you're like me, when you think knitted slippers you try hard not to think of the phentex fuglies that were knitted circa 1973. Fortunately, this book will for the most part erase this image from our minds.First off, I have to say it would be nice if the editors gave us a shot of the back cover, because all of the projects that are not on the cover are on the back cover. There are a pair with a zipper, a pair of mary janes for adult, three designs for slipper socks, a pair of clog slippers, a pair of scuffs, mary janes for girls, a pair of slippers with wheels for boys (it's really cute in a boyish way), a pair of beaded slippers, a pair of ballerine slippers, and the pair of lace-up ballet slippers on the cover, and the pair showcased on the cover which is my favourite pattern in the book. Most of the patterns have something nice about them, the beaded slippers are so cute you'll want to make several pairs and the men's slippers with zippers are just great. Finally, the pattern on the cover is downright gorgeous. The book is short and to the point, there is only short sections on general information and "knitting basics" (as if you're going to learn to knit in 2 easy pages!). I don't think that's bad, it's a book on slippers, it shouldn't spend precious pages on a so so technical section. On the topic of editing, I have to give big praise for the clear photos, most of the time from different angles, with the slippers on a foot, and without. This is much appreciated. Also the instructions are given in a clear and uncrowded way. Also, a good point for the book is the range of sizes covered, the adult unisex slippers go from 7-13, the women slippers go from 5-13 and the children slippers go from 8-13 and 1-3. So you're bound to find at least one slipper pattern for that certain someone.

This book has some really nifty designs and I thought they were easy to follow. Good illustrations, simple instructions. All around a good buy.

Good book for fun slippers. I find the patterns are a little off, meaning when I knit up the slippers, they were often huge, the large size would be for bigfoot, so once I made everything in a small, it was great. The slippers don't take long to make and they use the same techniques for more than one slipper which is nice.

This book is simply written, beginning and advanced knitters alike will find something they like for a quick project. The instructions are easy to follow. Adding personal touches such as ribbons, pearls, buttons can really add a nice touch for gifts. My favorite is pictured on the front cover. I have made several of these for gifts and with embellishment no two have been alike.
