"A charmer.... The crafty first of a cozy new series." -- Publishers Weekly on While My Pretty One Knits

Product Description

Counting on each other...

Meet the Black Sheep knitters -- five smart, funny
women who love to knit, gossip, and solve crimes.

Gloria Sterling had it all -- money, looks, and a new sexy young husband. So when she's found floating face down in her own swimming pool, shock waves ripple through tiny Plum Harbor. At the Black Sheep Knitting Shop, Maggie Messina and her circle are devastated to lose their dear friend -- a woman as colorful as her fabulous yarn creations.

The police are quick to call it an accident, but sorting out Gloria's final hours leaves too many loose ends to satisfy her friends. The vivacious, fiftysomething cougar had her French manicured tips in more than a few pots, and the threads of some inside deals stashed in her chic knitting tote.

Who was the last person to see Gloria alive on that quiet summer night? Two empty wine glasses suggest she wasn't home alone knitting the entire evening.... The Black Sheep need to know the truth and set out to unravel -- stitch by stitch -- the weighty secrets that pulled poor Gloria under.

4.0 out of 5 stars An Interesting "Yarn", Jan 8 2010
By B.Morgan "Blake Morgan" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Knit, Purl, Die (Paperback)
I liked this book 2 in the Black Sheep series, but I have to be honest, book 1, Icould not put down!!! I pre-ordered it, and could not wait to get it,but was not as "into it" as I was with While My Pretty One Knits! I felt a "detachment" w/ the characters in Knit Purl Die...Like I was watching everything play out at a distance. The prior book made me feel like I was right there....I wanted to live right there in Plum Harbor with these fascinating women! Book 2 maybe doesn't go that "deep" with the women, as the author feels we "know" them well enough by now.Still, I was somewhat let down.I really like this author, and surely will read her follow-ups in this series. It is again, a good cozy, and worth reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put it down!, Mar 3 2010
By MysteryKat - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Knit, Purl, Die (Paperback)
This author has become a part of my "mystery list" favorite. Character development is excellent and by the end of the story I'd felt as though they were friends. The mystery and plot kept me reading til the end. Recommended series!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not my favorite mystery, Jun 11 2010
By Nancy Davidson "Dime Store Mystery Reader" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Knit, Purl, Die (Paperback)
This book was very disappointing. I knew who the murderer was from the very beginning. Also, the characters were not memorable. I took the next book in the series off my wish list. I like the Seaside Knitting Mysteries much better.
