I have very thin people to knit for, and very large ones, too. I have basic pattern recipes around here and there, but can never find exactly what I need when I need it. This is the basics in one book, ready for me to use and add whatever colour/pattern I'm trying out. Another good reference book. Not exciting patterns, but useful.

While the sweaters shown in this book are not very attractive, the principles illustrated are very useful. It's a handy guide for doing your own thing using basic shapes and sizes. THe possibilities are endless.

Ann Budd's books allow the knitter to be creative with different gauges of yarn without having to do a lot of math!
Easy to read and allows you to knit all sizes of sweaters.

If you like creating your own designs, this book will be of great interest. If you always follow patterns, although it does have patterns, you might want to get a book that gives you patterns of the correct wool weight and design rather than the more generic patterns here.
