5.0 out of 5 stars Great entertainment March 31 2014

I really liked this Dvd because it includes all his well known songs. He opens with an amazing drum performance but the rest of the show is very laid back ...a more relaxing performance with many of his love songs....loved it more and more each time I watched it.

5.0 out of 5 stars L'indispensable Phil Collins March 2 2013
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase

3.0 out of 5 stars Chic (en spectacle) Feb. 3 2012

4.0 out of 5 stars Nicely compliments Mothership Connection DVD! Dec 26 2005
By PFunkster - Published on Amazon.com
Stop! If you don't have the Mothership Connection DVD, I highly recommend buying it first. Perhaps I'm too old school but, in my opinion, the Mothership Connection DVD captures PFunk at their peak and the Live At Montreux DVD captures PFunk as they are now. That said, if you already have the Mothership Connection DVD, the Live At Montreux DVD compliments it nicely and both are must haves for your PFunk collection. Live At Montreux has outstanding performances and it captures everything that you expect to see/hear when you go to a PFunk concert nowadays. However, my favorite part of the Live At Montreux DVD are the bonus tracks. It is worth buying the Live At Montreux DVD if only for Bernie Worrell's synth solo and Michael Hampton's performance of Maggot Brain. Regardless, I must emphasize buying the Mothership Connection DVD first if you don't already have it. I just feel it is a superior concert.

5.0 out of 5 stars Chic-Live at Montreux 2004 Aug. 30 2005
By Rusty Rawls - Published on Amazon.com
Nile Rogers revamped the group and did a good job,the late Bernard Edwards is missed and so is Tony Thompson, but the new bass player along with Omar Hakim filled in nicely. Chic song all of their hits along with a few other songs that Nile Rogers wrote for other people, this DVD is a must have for disco loving people!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a Must! March 1 2006
By Julia O'Donovan - Published on Amazon.com
Suzanne Vega Live At Montreax 2004 is a must if you like Suzanne Vega. She is in good form, looks healthy, tries to include the audience in her performance and the song selection is well chosen. She makes a brave attempt to cover The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes." The only weakness seems to be her band (particularly the bassist) sometimes seem to over power her vocal. The best moments are are when Suzanne solos or plays with just one band member or when her guitar is the dominate insturment.

5.0 out of 5 stars To the window, to the wall Aug. 2 2005

This is the best George Clinton DVD concert to date. I also own the Mothership connection DVD and the Live at the House of Blues DVD, and this one tops them both. There was probably a little less emphasis on the guitarists than I'm used to, but the vocalists, arrangements, new musicians, intensity and the return of Bernie Worrel more than made up for that. As usual, the seamless flow of one mode into another was matchless. Without much fanfare, the entire personnel on stage could change in a moment. Even the MC got to get himself "some" on the P-Funk rendition of "A Whole Lotta Shakin'" which literally rocked. The female vocalist were fine and appropriately nasty, as were their predecessors, Lynn Mabry and Dawn Silva. The electric violin version of "Maggot Brain" will be talked about for years to come. The show is constantly changing as it remains the same as in "Look out here I come, right back where I started from."

5.0 out of 5 stars A great Chic "come back" Oct. 1 2005
By torryblog - Published on Amazon.com
A great come back from Nile Rodgers and Chic in this DVD. Splendid presentation. New musicians and singers but the sound is the same, unmistakable. The hands of Nile on guitar still play with the magic of the 70'S. What a show . It's an essential DVD to fans of the disco era.
