Un superbe ouvrage sur le monde chinois et la Chine que je recommande à tous mes amis, parents et internautes. Lisez le vite pour découvrir le pays qui va changer la multipolarité du monde encore dominé à ce jour par les Etats-Unis. Pierre Picquart donne ici une vision brillante, claire, très érudite et complète du parcours des Chinois depuis plus de 2000 ans aux 4 coins de la planète : leurs coutumes, particularités, stratégies et réussites dans tous les pays. Il s'agit bien, je comprends mieux maintenant, de la naissance d'un nouvel eldorado économique : la nouvelle Chine qui avance à pas de géant. Dans une lecture attractive, j'ai voyagé avec un grand plaisir, chapitre après chapitre l'Empire Chinois, découvrant avec des excemples inconnus, les clefs de la Chine moderne, entre ses traditions et modernités. C'est le premier ouvrage complet qui m'a fait comprendre le monde chinois,les nouveaux enjeux du futur géant planétaire. Un livre exemplaire sur la "saga chinoise" et... une grande réussite pour cet essai littéraire. Sans conteste, le meilleur ouvrage du genre que j'ai lu depuis plus de 15 ans. A great introduction to the Chinese diaspora and China. If you're planning on doing some business in China and are unfamiliar with Chinese customs in the world, do yourself a favor and read this book. The french doctor Pierre Picquart, expert on China, brings his considerable university experience,living in China to this edition. This book shows how you can understand effectively the chinese people. It takes a unique look at the nation that is building the XXIth century. I recommend this book to anyone visiting or working in China, or dealing with the Chinese in any country. The triumph of the "chinese capitalists" takes us to the Chinese sphere where rich tycoons are becoming new world leaders, to a China with gigantic projects. Very clear and easy to understand, I recommend it to understand how their potential partners or competitors may think. An excellent book on China.

Dans ce superbe essai, le docteur Pierre Picquart nous livre les clefs de la diaspora chinoise et de la Chine. Je suis très impressionné et je recommande pour moi (d'origine chinoise par mes parents) le premier ouvrage qui retrace avec clarté la saga des Chinois du monde, d'Europe et de France, tout en gardant en haleine l'intérêt du lecteur, l'histoire de la diaspora chinoise, sa présence mondiale, ses spécificités, ces capacités d'adaptation, l'avenir de la Chine et les questionnements qui se posent à nos sociétés. De l'âge d'Or des Chinois du Laos aux migrants américains, des Chinois d'Italie ou d'Amérique Latine aux sociétés multinationales chinoises, de la route de la soie aux guerres de l'opium... Une gageure avec une écriture claire et remarquable en un peu plus de 200 pages. C'est une contribution essentielle à l'histoire et à l'actualité de la Chine, de ses stratégies et une vraie réussite ! A découvrir et à offrir à nos amis chinois et français.
