Okay this is by far the best cookbook I have ever had in my life.The only thing I wish though....is that I would have bought it earlier and when I had first decided to become a vegetarian..it would have saved alot of "pain" and "suffering". Sarah is such a cool gal, and she is so supportive, if you have a problem with one of her recipes it usually takes no time for her to reply and she will help you correct any mistakes you may have made.All I can say is...buy this book!!!!!

I'm not vegetarian or vegan, but bad dairy/egg/other stuff allergies have forced me to search for alternatives or spend my life eating extremely boring food. This cookbook is fantastic because it gives clear and easy alternatives and recipes. There is a variety of basic and complex recipes, the mayo alone makes the book worth every cent. The authors give clear explainations and the recipes are straight-forward and easy to adapt for personal tastes. I am glad and relieved to have found the cookbooks of these authors.

La Dolce Vegan! is loaded with tons of recipes of everything vegan you can imagine, from breakfast meals, brunches, to late-night snacking. Many of these recipes require common ingredients that are probably already in your kitchen. Several recipes have ingredients marked as "optional" allowing the cook to be creative, or to go without an ingredient that isn't necessary for the end-product to turn out decent.
This particular book is printed mostly in black & white, with the occasional graphic in turquoise-black-white colours, giving it a simplistic style - a similar style as the last 2 Sarah Kramer cookbooks ("How it all vegan!" and "The Garden of Vegan").
Regardless if you're vegan, vegetarian, or a meat eater, this book has something delicious to offer to anyone hungry, or in a hurry!
Highly recommended!

A book filled with fun and love. Lot's of great recipes for anything you can think of, tips and tricks for in the kitchen, and a DIY chapter full of crafts and ideas. I recommend the Portabello Pot Pie, it was even a hit with the meat-eaters in my family.

Honestly I haven't found this book to be very useful. It's a great read and I appreciate Sarah Kramer's writing-style. Perhaps this book would be better for those who do not cook regularly? I find a lot of the recipes to be overly simplistic. Furthermore, out of the recipes I have tried (which admittedly is not that many), only about half of them have been edible. Recipes submitted to the book by "Wolffie" are usually amazing. Also, many of the recipes call for vegan cheese. I am afraid that if a new vegan went out and smothered their food with grated vegan cheese they would be quickly turned off...most vegan cheeses are somewhat odd tasting and have troubles melting. This is fine, and many of these recipes you could omit the cheese, but I feel like there should be a warning for new vegans. Overall, this book isn't horrible, but it's one that I rarely use and I regret purchasing it.

I love this cook book! The recipes are delicious, unique and simple. Vegan living at it's best. I encourage anyone who is interested in becoming vegan to read this book and you will be very much inspired!
